SAM is a robust, easily configured Fleet Management system for Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs). It is the result of more than 60 years of experience in the engineering, manufacturing and installation of more than 20,000 vehicles. We developed SAM’s framework so it can be easily customized to meet our customers’ needs and improve the efficiency of our AGV systems

Graphical User Interface (GUI)
Daifuku’s browser-based user interface – SmartView™ – allows operators to view system status, fleet status and vehicle location, and view current and historical data from any computer in the facility.
Comprehensive Reports
SAM’s comprehensive reporting package includes historical data, vehicle status, alarms, activity logging, faults and customized production.
Centralized Vehicle Management
SAM talks to each vehicle every second via wireless Ethernet (Wi-Fi). Communication to the host (PLC or MES) system is constantly maintained via a hardwire connection.
Traffic Management
SAM continuously evaluates the vehicle fleet’s movements and manages traffic flow to avoid prevent backups and keep the fleet working.
Dynamic Routing
SAM continuously evaluates the conditions of the system and makes individual vehicle routing decisions to avoid delays and keep production flowing.
Assembly Management
SAM’s Assembly Manager module supports index & dwell or continuous moving line configurations, using Takt timers and work cell PLCs to coordinate movement of the line.
Easy Integration
SAM offers several methods of easily integrating with other systems, including through TCP/IP communication and OPC communication.
